Independent scientist Srinivas Chamarthy has travelled over two lakh kilometers in eight years delivering 367 lectures and participating in 559 interactions.
In pursuit of self reliant nation, Srinivas interacts with youngsters from Engineering, Scientific Community and in social forums. The lectures were mostly direct interactions with youth and a few online talks during Covid period.
With M.E (PhD) from Osmania University and experienced over two decades of innovation and product development on products related to defence, industrial and specific bio-medical applications, he believes that prosperity of nation can be achieved only through effective use of science and technology to create stable and agile economy with scientific, technological innovations with product based economy.
Srinivas strongly believes that the future belongs to young India and it is necessary to empower them by explaining the challenges, needs, ground reality, opportunities and the impact youth can make when they build their career focused to attend to the needs of the Nation. Staying humble and following these principles in his practice, this independent scientist has devoted 140 days a year on an average to travel across India and covering more than 2 lakh kms in pursuit of empowering youngsters. He has travelled 1,75,858 kms on Royal Enfield bikes and 25,967 kms on #TechnoTraveLab.
“When the intent is pious, the universe conspires to make it happen. Overcoming the challenges and working to sustain the mission was important. While working on this mission, travelling alone in all seasons, states, terrains, forests and different climatic conditions to reach out to youth is the achievement. Such perseverance is possible when we are focused, humble and committed to the mission without deviations and Nation’s Growth as the ultimate Goal. I humbly believe that the opportunity to work on this valuable mission is God’s Will. Many people, riders, DRDO scientists, AICTE, journalists, politicians, bureaucrats, lecturers, students, managements of colleges supported my mission irrespective of their background, region, religion etc. Without the support of my Family members, close friends, and employees working with me, reaching this milestone is impossible. While many people discouraged in the beginning, they gradually understood the seriousness of this mission that is purely focused on empowering youth. The challenges and criticism to demean my efforts did not affect me as my mission is a fore thought with persistence. I received both criticism and appreciation with rational mind and used them to strengthen my thought process to sustain the mission. ” says Srinivas.
While travelling all the states in India, his lifestyle was simple and beautiful. The night stays were with the people in a village during his travel. Sometimes in hotels, colleges and universities, where his interactions took place. The opportunity to live with people and interact with them was an asset to understand the ground reality in India. After travelling from 2015 till 2019 and learning from the experiences during interaction with people, he was motivated to pursue Law. Thus, he completed LLB in 2022 and COVID period was leveraged to concentrate and learn the basic principles of Law. His mission added with the Law degree facilitated to make his journey more effective. Currently he is also working with learned advocates to help people and to extend this activity with full-fledged concentration in the coming years.
“The challenges faced, experiences learnt, the situations of some people and the suffering of animals created pain in my mind and sometimes caused deep grief. These thoughts left me pondering on the spiritual reasoning. I realized that growth of an individual in objective approach empowers to work for National development where as subjective approach builds One SELF. Both are necessary. This understanding helped me to maintain silence with focus to understand experiences and interact with people. The ethos of Bharat is still vibrant in the villages. Modernization did not creep into the minds of people in rural areas and near urban areas in following the ethos and practice of values. There are deviations which can be improved. The culture is still in its place and as a wonderful nation we have to regain original practice of Sanatana Dharma while retaining the progress with the modern practices of Science and Technology. There is a lot of work remaining especially on Judicial Process, Education, Rural Sanitation, Technology Incubation, Reliable Healthcare System, Economic Growth with social balance, preserving environment and protecting Animal Rights. I wish to create a team and work on these essential areas which are quite important for Nation’s growth and prosperous living”, Srinivas adds.
Working for 18 hours a day all 365 days is possible only with thorough support of his family and better half, Sreedevi. A brief discussion with Sreedevi revealed some interesting facets on life style, simple living, focused goals. “I know Mr. Srinivas even before marriage and did not see any change in his goals since then. Challenges always exist but selfless goal and commitment to empower youngsters for Nation building is inspiring. Working for his cause is painful sometimes with the experiences he faced, but when we read the messages and feedback from his students and how interactions changed their perspective gives immense happiness. Also he is always available to address family needs. We both had to share responsibilities. Traveling on a bike was a risk and I am very much worried. I always pray God to keep him safe. There are many bitter and painful experiences hidden behind his smile. His school teachers are in touch with us even now and it motivated me that he is very focused from childhood. His commitment encouraged us to free him from routine needs of the family and be independent in our lifestyle,” she said.
The mission, work and the findings of Srinivas Chamarthy in his travels are transformed into specific outcomes shared with the organizations of interest for change creation. His work is recognised by AICTE, DRDO and cherished by stalwarts in the science, industry, education and social fraternity.
His mission #AJourneyToRealizeSELF is patriotic and Selfless effort in the interest of Nation’s Growth. The current trends in the international affairs indicate that India is a promising Nation to keep up World peace and prosperity. Youth should understand and work to realize this Goal.
